Yamaha SR400 Fi 2017
What inspired you to customize your motorcycle?
The SR400 is an iconic motorcycle from Japan, and we wanted to slightly change the traditional shape of the SR400, giving our SR400 a personal signature.
Can you give me an overall idea of your custom motorcycle? What is your inspiration?
Compact, light, easy to control, has unique characteristics and especially retains the classic form.
What specific parts of your motorcycle have been customized?
Actually quite a lot, we only keep the basic structures such as machinery, frames, switch shackles, motorbike rims.
Can you describe some of the unique or custom-made parts on your motorcycle?
Some details are specifically CNC'd with the FIVEX logo such as the front fork shackles, the rear fender retainer.
What are some of the challenges you encountered during customization?
Customize the fuel tank of the YAMAHA XT500 to suit the frame and structure of the YAMAHA SR400 Fi.
What is your favorite part of your custom motorcycle? Why?
Hmm, I really like the overview of my motorbike, but in terms of details maybe the small details that are featured by CNC.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of customizing their motorcycle?
Customize your motorbike to your needs by tweaking the size and height to suit you, let it truly be yours and right for you.
If you could change one thing about your custom motorcycle what would it be?
Speedometer, maybe I will look for another one and replace it.
How would you describe your custom motorcycle in three words?
Classic, simple, appropriate.
What are your plans for the future of your custom motorcycle?
I don't really have any further plans for my SR400 build yet, I just hope to be able to introduce more images of beautifully customized motorbikes in Vietnam to the classic motorbike community international.
