2025 KTM 250 Spotted in Camouflage with Bold New Design

The test model of the 2025 KTM 250 Adventure was recently spotted in India, still clad in camouflage. However, the design updates are clear. The bike showcases a more rugged, rally-inspired look, moving away from the current design language of the 250 Adventure. This new direction hints at enhanced off-road capabilities, positioning the bike as a serious contender in the adventure touring market.

Equipped with Off-Road-Ready Tyres and Suspension

One of the standout features on the test bike is the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, a significant upgrade that points to improved off-road performance. The model was also spotted sporting Mitas E07 50/50 tyres—highly regarded dual-purpose tyres designed for both road and off-road use. Manufactured under the Reise brand in India, these tyres are expected to offer a perfect balance for adventure seekers, though it's yet to be confirmed if the India-spec version will carry Reise or Mitas branding.

Potential for Multiple Variants

There are speculations that KTM might introduce multiple variants of the next-gen 250 Adventure, following the trend set by the larger 390 Adventure R. The "R" model could feature long-travel suspension, taller seat height, and more off-road-focused specs. Meanwhile, a more road-oriented "S" variant may offer lower seat height and 19/17-inch wheel sizes to cater to riders looking for a more manageable option for city and highway riding.

New 399cc Engine: Power and Performance Upgrade

While details are still under wraps, the 2025 KTM 250 Adventure is likely to borrow the new 399cc engine from the KTM 390 Duke. This would translate into quicker acceleration, better torque, and overall improved performance for the adventure tourer. Riders can also expect advanced features such as electronic assists, a TFT display, and adjustable suspension, ensuring a premium riding experience.
